Bali, Indonesia – Following a week-long break, PSBS Biak, affectionately known as the Pacific Storm, has returned to rigorous training, focusing on physical conditioning at Kuta Beach in Bali. The team is gearing up for a critical phase in the BRI League 1 2024/2025 season.

Led by key players like kelly Sroyer, the squad is undergoing intense physical drills designed to maintain peak fitness levels. This preparation is crucial as they approach the second round of the league, where every match could determine thier fate.

Head coach marcos Guillermo Samso emphasized the importance of this phase, stating, We already have a good plan at this time.Additional physical training and tactics are included in our agenda. This suggests a complete approach, blending physical endurance with strategic gameplay.

PSBS Biak is set to face PSS Sleman at Lukas enembe stadium in Jayapura, Papua, on April 10. This home game is a significant opportunity for the Pacific Storm to solidify their position in the league. The team, including Julian Velasquez and other recent additions, will travel to Jayapura after the Lebaran holiday.

To further refine their strategy, Coach Guillermo, as he’s commonly called, revealed plans for a trial match. During the break we also had plans to do a trial match to strengthen our preparations for Jayapura, he said. This trial will allow the coaching staff to assess player performance and fine-tune tactics before the crucial league game.

The team’s recent performances have been encouraging, with a 1-0 victory over Borneo FC Samarinda and a 2-0 win against Bali United at Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Gianyar, Bali. These wins have boosted morale and demonstrated the team’s potential.

Currently, PSBS Biak holds 10th place in the BRI League 1 2024/2025 standings with 37 points.
