Virginie Chénier has been a part of the Canadian national team since 2008, while Stephanie Barrett competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Amelia Gagne is set to make her senior team debut, representing the next generation of Canadian archery talent.

I am super excited to be part of the team of pan -American games. This is one of my favorite competitions, mainly due to life in the village and the team spirit that there is between Canadian athletes of all sports, said Chénier. We really did the Pan -American championships last year and I have confidence in our ability to perform well in these games, as much as a team as on an individual level, especially after the solid results that we have obtained this season.

Compound Archers Fagan and Moran Ready for Pan American Debut

Andrew Fagan and Tristan Moran will both be making their Pan american Games debut in the compound archery discipline.Fagan qualified directly after finishing ninth at the world Archery Championships, while moran earned his spot based on his national ranking. I’m really looking forward to participating in the Pan -American Games. My last multisports competition dates back 13 years ago, at the Commonwealth Games in 2010, Fagan said.I was a little surprised to be selected after having finished ninth at the world championships this year in Germany.I hope to give a good performance and display the same level of competitiveness there. I can’t wait to pull alongside Tristan, who is a high class person, I know him for having competition with and against him for years.

While new to the Pan American stage,both archers have extensive international experience.Moran is a former youth world championship medalist, and Fagan has medaled on the World Cup circuit.

Paris 2024 Olympic Qualification on the Line
