The MLS also makes sense for him as it’s less physical, allowing him to extend his career. But don’t expect him to accept average performances from himself or his teammates. He’ll demand the best from everyone around him, challenging the status quo in the MLS.
I think of it as a new chapter, but a chapter with a clear end in sight. Messi will have his legacy etched in stone irrespective, but a successful stint in the MLS would add another stratum to his legend.
