BC Krommerijnstreek Youth Team Soars to Phase 2 Lead
the BC Krommerijnstreek youth team, brimming with enthusiasm, has carved a commanding path through the competition’s first phase, emerging as convincing champions. Now, they face the next challenge: maintaining their momentum in phase 2. Last Sunday’s 4-2 victory over elst BC solidified their position at the top of the standings. Yara, Leentje, Ben, Dex, and Thijs are now focused on securing the coveted phase 2 championship. With three games remaining, the possibilities are vast.
Senior Team holds Steady
The senior team, meanwhile, navigated the federal competition with a respectable mid-table finish.while the men’s team faced a challenging season, they avoided relegation, a meaningful accomplishment. A mixed doubles team also competed in the regional competition, a valuable experience that culminated in a well-earned third-place finish. A spring competition awaits another team in mid-March.
Upcoming Events and Opportunities
The annual Friends Tournament is scheduled for March 16th,followed by the club championships in early April. These events promise exciting competitions within the association. The club welcomes new members, both youth (ages 10-13) and senior players. Youth training sessions take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Adults are welcome to join the Wednesday night sessions from 8:00 PM onwards at Sporthal de Lindenhof in Odijk. Players should bring their own sportswear; rackets are provided.
