Jayden’s Baseball Journey: A Different Path
Jayden, a rising star in baseball, reveals a captivating perspective on his athletic choices. “agassi is a huge name in tennis,” he admits,”but my focus is baseball.” He explains his preference,noting the difficulty he encountered in tennis,struggling to keep the ball in play. “I always wanted to hit the ball as far as possible,” he says, “which just isn’t the tennis way.”
A Son’s Pride, a Father’s Legacy
Jayden’s passion for baseball is deeply personal. “I’m thrilled to play for Germany,” he says, “and I want to make my mother proud.” His journey to the Major League Baseball draft league began after college. These qualifiers commence March 2nd. Interestingly, the legendary tennis duo, despite their retirement, have not played professional tennis matches. Though, Agassi did coach Novak Djokovic between 2017 and 2018.

Jeeva Milkha Singh, son of legendary Indian sprinter Milkha Singh, chose a different path, embracing golf instead of athletics. He became the frist Indian golfer to compete on the European tour in 1998. His achievements include the Arjuna Award in 1999 and the Padma Shri in 2007.
Following Family Footprints, Yet Unique Paths
PV Sindhu, a two-time badminton medalist, also has a family steeped in sports. Her father, PV Ramna, and mother, P Vijaya, were both volleyball players. Her mother was a national-level player, while her father was part of the 1986 Asian Games bronze-medal winning Indian team. Ramna also received the Arjuna Award.

Rai Benjamin, a four-time Olympian medalist (including three golds), chose athletics over his father Winston Benjamin’s sport, cricket. Winston Benjamin represented the west Indies cricket team. Rai’s impressive achievements include a silver medal in Tokyo and a gold medal in Paris in the 400m hurdles. He was also part of the American team that won gold in the 4 x 400 meter relay race in both Tokyo and Paris.
