Guipuzcoa Celebrates Kirolean Errespetuz Campaign Launch
A vibrant party marked the launch of the Kirolean Errespetuz campaign, a project championed by the Basque newspaper DV, in collaboration wiht the Diputación and the City of Donostia. The event,held on February 19,2025,drew a distinguished crowd of sports figures from across Guipuzcoa.
A Day of Sports Excellence
The DV Gunea venue buzzed with energy as representatives from various sports organizations gathered. Juanma Velasco, deputy director of DV, welcomed guests alongside Arantxa, head of information, and Javier Roldán. Goizane Álvarez, Deputy of Culture, Cooperation, Youth and Sports, represented the Diputación, alongside Marta Father, Director of Sports.Iñaki Gabarain, Councilor for Sports and Healthy Life, represented the City of Donostia.

The event attracted a diverse array of prominent figures. Iñigo martín, director general; Txema Iturrioz, commercial director; Isabel cortadi, event director; Eli Ugalde, marketing director; and Iosu Larrart, of institutional relations, where present. AMAIA ROS, responsible for institutional advertising, and Maite Vidaur and Laura Chamorro, who presented talks, also attended.
A Spectrum of sports
The event showcased the breadth of sports in Guipuzcoa.Hous, president of the Gipuzkoan Football Federation, and Miguel Ángel Pérez Lasa, a former athlete, were in attendance. Basketball was well-represented by Carmen Muguruza, president of idk Euskotren, along with Iris Mbulito, Iñaki Almandoz, and Jon Dogarting. Aitor Uriondo, former sports director of the GBC and now Director of Learning and Innovation, was also present. Álex Abancens, current general director of the Guipuzcoan College of engineers, and julen Otegi, director of the axular ikastola, added to the extraordinary roster.

Ice Hockey Txuri urdin was represented by Tito Marcelino, Joseba Aizagirre, Irene Senac, Ainhoa Salillas, Irizar network, and Judith Segurola. the rowing world was also present, with Itziar Eguren, Joserra Gomez, and Luis Fernández from Arraun Lagunak.
Cycling’s past Champions
The event also honored the past, with former members of the Gipuzkoan Federation of cycling Board of Directors, Abraham Olano, Saints Osoro, and J, in attendance.
