Wednesday, August 28th marks teh anticipated opening of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, with the Mexican delegation poised to shine. In just a few hours, the national archery team will launch their Paralympic campaign.
Mexican Archery Team Prepares for Paris 2024 Debut
Víctor Sardina and Samuel Molina, Mexico’s archery representatives, will be among the frist to compete.Their performances will set the stage for the rest of the Mexican delegation.
Competition Schedule
- Samuel Molina, competing in the men’s recurve arc category, will begin his quest for qualification at 5:00 AM.
- Víctor Sardina, competing in the compound arc category, will follow at 9:00 AM, also in the qualification round.
Archery’s Paralympic journey began as a rehabilitation activity for veterans injured during World War II. Dr. Ludwig Guttmann, at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in England, pioneered this approach. The discipline’s first appearance in the Paralympic Summer Games was at the 1960 Rome Games, and it has been a staple ever since.
