Historic Parks reimagined
Three key parks – Hwajeong,Daedeok,and Haengjusanseong History Park – initially slated for development in 1971,are finally taking shape. These projects, once teetering on the brink of abandonment, are now poised to become community jewels. The Haengjusanseong History Park, in particular, is slated for a meaningful change.
Haengjusanseong History Park: A Tourist Magnet
This 325,000 square meter park, drawing inspiration from the past Haengjusanseong Fortress, is poised to become a major tourist attraction.The planned archery ranges and museums promise to not onyl preserve history but also revitalize the local economy. The park’s strategic location and historical significance are expected to draw visitors from near and far.
Modern Amenities for All
Hwajeong Park: A 87,000 square meter revitalization project includes a safety experience center, forest experience facilities, and shelters. Daedeok Park: Spanning 314,000 square meters, this park will feature forest health sites, forest libraries, and scenic promenades.
Tanhyeon Neighborhood Park: Construction, begun last February, is progressing on a 57,000 square meter site, and is expected to be completed by June.
Mining Neighborhood Park: This 49,714 square meter park, completed last December, offers a variety of sports facilities, including badminton, basketball, and table tennis courts.
