Van Persie Takes Helm at Heerenveen
Feyenoord has appointed Robin van Persie (41) as the new head coach of SC Heerenveen. The Rotterdam club aims to promptly integrate him into the team, replacing recently dismissed Danish coach Brian Priske.
A New Chapter in Friesland
Van Persie embarks on his first managerial season in friesland. Prior to this, he served as a striker coach and guided Feyenoord’s under-18 team. His UEFA Pro license was earned in 2024.
A Return to roots
Van Persie’s journey began at Feyenoord, where he honed his skills as a player. he then excelled for Arsenal,Manchester United,and Fenerbahçe,before returning to De Kuip in 2018 to conclude his illustrious career. His international career included 102 appearances and 50 goals for the Dutch national team.
