Zrinka Ljutičová, the 21-year-old Croatian slalom sensation, continued her remarkable winning streak, securing victory in the World Cup slalom event held in Kranjska Gora. Following her dominant performance in the final slalom of 2023 in Semmering, where she triumphed with a staggering 1.75-second lead over Lena Dürr, Ljutičová entered the new year with the same unwavering determination.
“It’s unbelievable, I’m speechless,” Ljutičová exclaimed in her post-race interview with the International Ski Federation (FIS). “I felt great, I pushed myself to the limit, and while I wasn’t entirely satisfied with my finish, I knew it would be a close race. I hoped it would be enough,and thankfully,it was,and I won!”

Podobne ako v Semmeringu jej aj v Kranjskej Gore pomohli k víťazstvu hlasní slovenskí fanúšikovia. Tí k transparentom s Petrou Vlhovou a slovenským vlajkám pridali aj tú chorvátsku a vytvorili si banery s podobizňou nasledovníčky Janice Kosteličovej.
Práve včera oslávila štvornásobná olympijská víťazka 43. narodeniny. Vďaka 13-tim cenný kovom z vrcholných podujatí a dovedna 30 triumfom zo všetkých disciplín vo Svetovom pohári sa z nej stala jedna z najväčších legiend. A tiež inšpirácia pre Ljutičovú.
„Zrinka má veľký potenciál. Lyžovanie je iné, ako v mojej ére, ale Ljutičovej talent je nespochybniteľný. Tam sa to však iba začína,“ hovorila Kosteličová prezrieravo na konci sezóny 2020/21.
Práve v nej Ljutičová ako sedemnásťročné ucho debutovala. mimochodom – prvé preteky vo Svetovom pohári odjazdila 29.12. 2020 práve v Semmeringu, kde o štyri roky neskôr predviedla jedno z najdominantnejších víťazstiev súčasnosti.

Náskok takmer dvoch sekúnd pred Dürrovou a triumf v oboch kolách nápadne pripomínal výkony zraneného dua Mikaela Shiffrinová, Petra Vlhová, ktoré v ostatných rokoch týmto spôsobom viackrát deptalo konkurenciu.
„počúva sa to síce pekne,ale porovnávať ma s Janicou,Mikaelou či Petrou je prisilné,“ vravela Ljutičová po svojom prvom pódiu v elitnom seriáli v kariére.
Podpora Vlhovej fanklubu
Už v januári 2023, kedy skončila tretia v slalome za Dürrovou a Shiffrinovou (Vlhová skončila na 13. priečke) ju hnali vpred slovenskí fanúšikovia. To isté platilo aj o rok na to v Jasnej.
Pod Chopkom diváci zažili obrovský šok. Deň predtým opustila Vlhová svoje domáce stredisko v helikoptére. Po páde v úvode obrovského slalomu sa na súťažnej trati už neobjavila a stále nie je jasné, či sa tak stane ešte v aktuálnom ročníku 2024/25.
Aj vďaka mohutnej podpore dokázala Ljutičová potrápiť favoziovanú Shiffrinovú. Nakoniec v slalomovej bitke s najsúpešnejšou lyžiarkou histórie neuspela, Američanka triumfovala o 14 stotín sekundy.

„Som veľmi rada, že ste prišli aj napriek tomu, že tu petra nie je. Ste fantastickí, cítila som sa tu ako doma,“ odkázala slovenským priaznivcom Ljutičová.
Nezabudla na nich ani v nedeľu, pri svojom druhom a zatiaľ poslednom víťastve. Po treťom mieste v Špindlerovom Mlyne a štyroch druhých (okrem jasnej aj v Soldeu, Aare a killingtone) sa vezie na víťaznej vlne. Jedným z dôvodov môže byť aj výrazná podpora Oficiálneho fanklubu Petry vlhovej.
