Seahorse Mikawa U15 is thrilled to announce their selection as a “JBA recommended team” for the prestigious “Keio Jr.Winter Cup 2024-25,” the 5th National U15 Basketball Championship. This highly anticipated tournament will take place from January 4th to 8th, 2025, at the Musashino Forest General Sports Plaza in Tokyo.
The seahorse Mikawa U15 team will face off against tough competition, including 51 other teams from across Japan. These teams comprise representatives from each prefecture, along with five teams handpicked by the Japan Basketball association (JBA).
The tournament will follow a knockout format, with each game determining the fate of the participating teams. A third-place match will also be held, ensuring a thrilling competition for all.
Seahorse Mikawa U15’s journey begins on January 4th with a match against the formidable “Super Waves” from Tottori Prefecture.This opening game, scheduled for 2:00 PM at Sub Arena E Court, promises to be an exciting encounter.
Should they emerge victorious, the team will advance to the second round on January 5th, facing off against “Koshigaya Alphars U15” at 2:00 PM on Main arena C Court. The competition intensifies with each round, culminating in the quarterfinals and beyond.

The Seahorses will face off against the winner of Game No. “M46″ in the semi-finals on January 7th at 11:30 AM in the Main Arena A Court. If victorious, they’ll advance to the finals on January 8th at 3:00 PM, taking on the winner of game No.”M50” in the Main Arena M Court.

Having transitioned from captain to advisor, he’s dedicated the past four months to supporting his teammates and pushing them to reach their full potential.”This is my last chance to compete at this level,” Miura shares. “I want to leave everything on the court, enjoy every moment with my teammates, and ensure we have no regrets.”
