The Arcieri Bizantini archers had a prosperous weekend, securing multiple podium finishes and setting new personal bests at competitions in Castelfranco Emilia and Fano.
Young Archers Excel at the “12th Trofeo del Forte”
the young athletes of the Pinocchio group (under 12 and Giovanissimi category) impressed at the “12th Trofeo del Forte” in Castelfranco Emilia. The girls’ team, consisting of Anna Maria Shengelia, Noemi Della Rocca, and Sara Baldini, dominated the Giovanissimi female OL category, claiming the gold medal with an impressive score of 1128 points, surpassing their previous performance.
Individually,the young archers showcased remarkable progress,achieving several personal bests. Anna Maria Shengelia secured 5th place with 410 points, while Noemi Della Rocca achieved a personal best of 406 points, earning her 6th place. Sara Baldini also set a new personal record with 312 points,finishing in 8th place. Emily Bazzocchi rounded out the team’s strong showing with a 9th place finish and a personal best of 147 points. Michelangelo Merengo represented the boys’ team, finishing in 7th place with 184 points.
Senior and Master Archers Triumph in Fano and Castelfranco Emilia
The senior and master archers also delivered outstanding performances. At the “37th Torneo Città di fano,” Simone pizzi secured the silver medal in the AN SM category with a score of 506 points (244+262),while Denis Costantini earned the bronze medal with 499 points (258+241) in the same category. Massimo venturi placed 5th with 282 points (248+234). The trio combined their talents to win the gold medal in the team event with a total score of 1487.
Sabrina Bandini added to the medal haul with a bronze medal in the AN MF category, achieving a personal best of 468 points (237+231).
The success continued in Castelfranco Emilia on Sunday,where Marcello Tozzola secured a double victory. He claimed the gold medal in the Ol Mm category with 568 points (283+285) and the bronze medal in the AN MM category with 496 points (247+249). Angela Padovani also contributed to the team’s success, winning the silver medal in the AN MF category with 484 points (241+243).

The Arcieri Bizantini’s impressive achievements have been recognized by the Fitarco, wich awards “Stelle al Merito Sportivo” to clubs based on the number of Italian titles won. Thanks to the Italian titles secured by Giuseppe Ratti, Marcello Tozzola, and Matelda Miolo, the Ravenna-based club earned its first “Stella al Merito Sportivo,” the bronze level.
