Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, hereafter ”Otsuka Pharmaceutical”) has initiated the “POCARI SWEAT Basketball Dream Project” (hereafter “the project”), a global initiative designed to nurture the aspirations and dedication of young basketball enthusiasts worldwide.

As the inaugural phase of this initiative, the saga Ballooners will partner with the Philippine Sports Commission and Otsuka Pharmaceutical to deliver on-site technical training and health education starting September 2024. additionally, a selection process will be conducted.
From a pool of 400 participants, five talented players aged 13 to 15 will be chosen to visit Saga Prefecture in January 2025.These young athletes will engage with the U15 team of the Saga Ballooners and gain insights into Otsuka’s nutraceutical products. they will also tour the Saga Nutritional products Research Institute, where they will learn about the critical role of hydration, electrolyte balance, and proper nutrition in athletic performance.
Beyond enhancing athlete conditioning and addressing regional health challenges, Otsuka has consistently supported emerging athletes through collaborations with local sports organizations, notably via its overseas affiliates.
