“an unexpected Declaration That Caught the Club Off Guard”
PSG has been highly satisfied with Hakimi’s contributions, and rumors of a contract extension have been circulating for months. Though, the club’s communications team was caught off guard when the news was prematurely revealed. “Hakimi’s contract extension until 2029 was announced by the Parc des Princes speaker on November 22,even though it wasn’t part of the club’s planned communication strategy,” disclosed Laurent Perrin of Le Parisien.

PSG’s plans for the future extend beyond Hakimi. The club is also focusing on securing the services of Vitinha and extending Luis Enrique’s contract until 2027. “Two additional extensions have been confirmed: Luis Enrique (2027) and Vitinha (2029). The club is carefully choosing the right moment to make these announcements,” Perrin added.
