BRATISLAVA. V prípade bežného tínedžera sa toho medzi 16. - 18. rokom života až toľko nemení. Chodí do školy, na brigády, trávi čas s kamarátmi a možno si na sociálnych sieťach zmení status zo slobodný na zadaný.
Málokto si vie predstaviť, že by v takom mladom veku bol celosvetovo známou celebritou, zarábal veľké peniaze či sa stal majstrom sveta.
Angličan Luke Littler však nie je bežný tínedžer a za posledných trinásť mesiacov sa jeho život otočil o 180 stupňov.
Z chalana, ktorý bol považovaný za veľký talent vo svete šípok, je razom najlepší hráč súčasnosti. V piatok to potvrdil vo finále majstrovstiev sveta, keď suverénne zdolal Michaela van Gerwena 7:3.
“odkedy som trafil víťazný double, nemôžem tomu uveriť. Môžem si povedať, že som vyhral MS a táto trofej je moja,” povedal na tlačovej konferencii.
Nervozita prišla až v závere
Littler, ktorý o tri týždne oslávi svoje 18. narodeniny, sa stal trinástym majstrom sveta organizácie PDC a zároveň vôbec najmladším.

“Všetci vieme, čo Michael urobil pre tento šport. Bol hladný po štvrtom titule, ale získať môj prvý ako najmladší šampión, je neuveriteľný pocit.
Od zápasu s Ryanom Meikleom som sa na pódiu cítil ako doma. Vo finále som necítil žiadnu nervozitu okrem posledného legu,keď som sa začal triasť.
Vtedy som si povedal: Celý zápas si sa netriasol, tak to nerob ani teraz. Vyhrať MS je pre mňa splnený sen,” uviedol rodák z Warringtonu.
Každých 17 rokov sa zrodí hviezda
Hoci Littler povedal, že nervózny nebol, v úvode urobil aj školácke chyby, ktoré bežne nerobí. Dvakrát mu pred odhodením poslednej šípky zostávalo 60 bodov, no namiesto dvadsiatky trafil päťku.
Pomohlo mu však horšie zatváranie van Gerwena, vďaka čomu vyhral prvý set. Rozbehol sa, na double 10 bol takmer neomylný a onedlho už viedol 4:0.

Holanďan po prestávke konečne vyhral set, no záver toho šiesteho nepriniesol zdramatizovanie skóre na 2:4, ale opäť komfortný náskok Littlera 5:1.
Van Gerwen neodohral zlé finále. Priemer na tri šípky mal vyše 100 bodov, dokonca hodil o jednu 180-ku viac ako jeho súper, no Littler mal skvelú 55,56-percentnú úspešnosť pri zatváraní legov.
“Mighty Mike” pred finále hovoril,že postup do finále nič neznamená a zaujíma ho iba víťazstvo. Po finále však uznal kvality nového majstra sveta.
“Samozrejme, táto prehra ma bolí, ale tak to má byť. Pokiaľ by ma to nebolelo,tak nie som športovec. Na začiatku som urobil chyby a keď sa vám to stane proti Lukeovi, budete mať problémy.
