Two talented judokates, Lisa and Luna, secured their spots in the French Brazilian ju-jitsu championships in Clermont-Ferrand after remarkable performances at the Occitanie championship. Lisa dominated her category, claiming the gold medal, while Luna secured a well-deserved silver.
The Kodokan’s success continued at the auch tatami mats, where the club clinched three podium finishes. Khalil and Ethan fought valiantly to earn bronze medals in their respective categories, while Martinez displayed remarkable grit and technical prowess to capture the gold medal. His victory was a testament to the club’s emphasis on combining speed and technique.Adding to the club’s growing list of achievements, Cheick Diop, a rising star in the Kodokan ranks, emerged victorious at the Cadet Grand Prix in Toulouse, securing the gold medal in the under 50 kg category. His teammates, Thomas, Hugo, Ethan, Barnabé, Félix, and Teddy, also delivered commendable performances, demonstrating a strong fighting spirit and a promising future.
While the minimal national tournament in Toulouse in December didn’t yield any medals for the Kodokan, the club’s focus remains on nurturing the growth and advancement of its young athletes.
