Basketball enthusiasts and coaches are in for a treat next Tuesday, January 28, as La Isla Bonita hosts the second edition of the Coaches Training Day. The event will unfold at the Roberto Estrello Multipurpose Center in Santa Cruz de La Palma, offering a platform for learning and professional growth. Esteemed speakers will lead the sessions, and the event is officially recognized for coaching certification programs.
Kicking off at 5:15 p.m.,Jesús García,a seasoned basketball coach and head of the Canary Islands Women’s Youth Team,will present a session titled “Crafting an Effective Training Session.” His insights are expected to provide valuable strategies for enhancing practice routines.
Following this, at 6:30 p.m., Justo Martín, a senior coach and key figure in the Sports Division of the Canary Islands Basketball Federation, will take the stage. His discussion, “Mastering Spacing and Off-Ball Movement,” will delve into advanced techniques for optimizing player positioning and movement during gameplay.
The event enjoys robust backing from the Cabildo of la Palma, the Santa Cruz de La Palma City Council, the La Palma basketball Delegation, and the Felipe Antón School.
