Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian Future: A Casemiro Conundrum
The future of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia hangs in the balance. While his current club, Al Nassr, hopes too retain the 39-year-old striker, fierce rivals Al-Hilal are circling, eager to capitalize on Ronaldo’s expiring contract. Al-Hilal, who recently parted ways with Neymar, see Ronaldo as the perfect replacement and are prepared to make a significant financial play.
Though, Ronaldo isn’t simply looking for the highest bidder. Sources close to the Portuguese star, as reported by MARK, reveal that he has set a unique condition for his next move: the acquisition of his former Real Madrid teammate, Casemiro.
Ronaldo and Casemiro shared accomplished spells at both Real Madrid and Manchester United, forging a strong bond on and off the pitch. The Brazilian midfielder, currently contracted to Manchester United until 2026 with an option for extension, would be a key factor in Ronaldo’s decision. This presents a major hurdle for Al Nassr. To keep Ronaldo, they would need to entice Manchester United with a substantial offer for Casemiro.
Al-Hilal,meanwhile,are undeterred. Having splashed out €90 million for Neymar two seasons ago, they’ve demonstrated their willingness to spend big. They are reportedly eyeing a similar move for Casemiro, hoping to lure Ronaldo with the promise of reuniting with his former teammate.
adding fuel to the fire,Al-Hilal are also rumored to be pursuing Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Saudi club’s ambition is clear: to assemble a star-studded squad capable of dominating both domestically and on the continental stage.
While Ronaldo currently holds the title of the world’s highest-paid footballer, earning a staggering €200 million per year at Al Nassr, the allure of playing alongside Casemiro and potentially Salah could prove irresistible. The coming months will be crucial in determining Ronaldo’s next chapter.
is the Saudi League Ready for CR7 2.0? A One-on-One wiht Michael Owen
Welcome back, fans, to ”In the Locker Room.” Today, we have a real treat. Joining us is former England and Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, to break down the latest news swirling around football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
[[Michael Owen, Welcome to the show. Thanks for joining us.]
Thanks for having me.
[Now, Michael, everyone’s talking about Ronaldo’s future in Saudi Arabia. Al Nassr allegedly wants to keep him, but their fierce rivals, Al-Hilal, are circling with a big offer. What’s your take on this?]
It’s definately a interesting situation. ronaldo’s obviously a massive draw and at Al Nassr, he was their marquee signing. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re pulling out all the stops to keep him, but Al-Hilal, as they’ve shown with Neymar, aren’t afraid to spend big.
[Exactly! But it truly seems Ronaldo’s not just about the money this time around. Sources say he wants his former Real Madrid teammate, casemiro, to join him. What do you make of that? Is it a purely ego-driven move?]
I wouldn’t necessarily call it ego-driven. I mean, Ronaldo and Casemiro clearly have a strong bond, both on and off the pitch. Having a trusted teammate by your side, especially in a new and unfamiliar league, can be invaluable.
But, Michael, wouldn’t it be a huge ask for Al Nassr to prise Casemiro away from Manchester United?
It would be an incredibly difficult task, there’s no doubt whatsoever. Casemiro is a key player for United and I’d imagine they’d want a notable fee to even consider selling him. This could be a realDons gull between Al Nassr retaining Ronaldo or securing a player they’ve targeted in Casemiro.

[And then there’s Al-Hilal. They’re also rumoured to be after Mohamed Salah! You can’t deny, if they manage to pull this off, they’d have a terrifying attacking line-up.]
It would be insane, wouldn’t it? Salah, Ronaldo, and Casemiro in one team? That’d send shivers down the spines of any opposition. their ambition is clear – they want to dominate both domestically and on the continental stage.

I think it’s genuinely 50/50. If Al Nassr can somehow pull off the Casemiro signing, it might be enough to convince Ronaldo to stay. but Al-Hilal’s big play, possibly with Salah as well, could prove too tempting to resist. It’s definitely going to be a fascinating few months.
