In a thrilling showdown during the 15th week of the Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes faced a narrow 91-89 defeat against Büyükçekmece Basketball on their home court.
Büyükçekmece basketball seized the initiative early, taking the lead just two minutes into the game and ending the frist quarter with a 23-18 advantage. The second quarter saw a back-and-forth battle, but the hosts managed to edge ahead 42-41 by halftime. The third period remained fiercely contested, with anadolu Efes slightly ahead at 66-65.However, Büyükçekmece Basketball dominated the final quarter, building a 12-point lead (70-82) by the 35th minute. Despite a late surge, Anadolu Efes couldn’t overturn the deficit, ultimately falling short by two points.
Franke emerged as the standout performer for Büyükçekmece basketball, scoring a game-high 24 points, while Starks added 17 to the tally. On the opposing side, Ercan’s 21 points and Larkin’s 19-point effort weren’t enough to secure a win for Anadolu Efes.
This victory marked Büyükçekmece Basketball’s fifth triumph in the league, while Anadolu Efes suffered their fourth loss of the season.
