Billie Jean: No doubt. A strong serve is a cornerstone of any great player’s game, and Félix has that in spades. It gives him so much control, dictates the points from the start. But tennis is about more than just power.
True, and Giron certainly made him work for it. Do you think this type of match, where he had to fight for every point, will serve Félix well as the tournament progresses?
Billie Jean: Absolutely. You learn more from tough matches than easy wins.Challenged by Giron, Félix had to dig deep, problem-solve on the court. That experience will be invaluable against tougher opponents like Tommy Paul in the semis.
Speaking of Paul, that rematch from Indian Wells should be a thriller! Do you think Félix can repeat his 2023 victory?
