Alejandra Valencia’s 2023 schedule is packed with high-stakes competitions. The Mexican archer is set to compete in the world Championships, the World Cup, adn the Pan American Games, all of wich serve as crucial opportunities to secure her spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
2023 archery World Cup: A Stepping Stone to Paris
The 2023 Archery World Cup kicks off on Tuesday, April 18, with the first of four stages. The top archers from these stages will advance to the final, which will be held in Hermosillo, Mexico, on September 9 and 10.
while this competition doesn’t directly award Olympic quotas, it provides valuable ranking points that will determine the final team slots for the Paris Games.

2023 World Archery Championships: A Direct Path to paris
- Dates: May 31 to August 6
- Location: berlin, Germany
The 2023 World Championships will be the first event to offer direct qualification for Paris 2024 in archery. If mexico replicates its success from 2017 and 2021, where it secured silver in the women’s team event, it will guarantee three archers a place in the French capital.
Additionally, the individual event will award Olympic spots to the top three archers who finish in the top eight and haven’t already qualified through the team event.
This gives Alejandra Valencia two chances at the World Championships to secure her fourth Olympic appearance.
2023 Pan American Games: A Final Shot at qualification

The Santiago 2023 Pan American Games will serve as an Olympic qualifier for numerous sports, including archery. Nations that win gold in the team event will secure a direct spot, as will archers who claim gold or silver in the individual competition.
