Two New Black Belts at JJV Friedrichshafen

Friedrichshafen Judoka Achieve Black Belt Status

Two dedicated judoka from Friedrichshafen, Jessica Hillebrand and Jens Breitenbach, recently achieved a important milestone in their martial arts journey. On December 8th, they successfully passed the first Dan exam, earning their black belts at the Württemberg Judo Association Dan exams held in Heubach.

This achievement builds upon their impressive performance at the Baden-Württemberg Kata Championships in October, where they secured a commendable third-place finish. This prior success‍ allowed them to fulfill the ⁢prerequisite of passing the elective Kata exam.

The rigorous Dan exam tested their ⁣mastery of judo techniques. Candidates had to demonstrate proficiency in at least 30 out of 40 techniques, ⁣selected at random. ⁣ They also showcased their skills in stand-up⁣ application, executing six throws from various scenarios, including counterattacks, combinations, ⁣and feints.

The‍ final stage‍ of the exam focused on floor techniques. Jessica and Jens expertly demonstrated holds, levers,⁤ and chokes from free-flowing situations,⁢ showcasing their extensive understanding of grappling techniques.

The Judo Ju-Jutsu Association extends its warmest congratulations to jessica and Jens on their well-deserved achievement. Their dedication and hard work have culminated in this prestigious accomplishment.
