“as 2018, when I arrived in the Major Leagues, I began to have a very good relationship with Miguel Cabrera,” Torres shared. “When we played against each other during the season, he always joked with me and told me, ‘Come to Detroit and you will see a really good team.’ He always laughed.”

Fans are undoubtedly eager to see you pair up with the young talent the Tigers already have.What are you most looking forward to about playing alongside those guys?
GT: I’m excited to see what we can achieve together. Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson, these guys are electric. There’s an energy, a hunger there that’s infectious. I can already see the growth potential in this team, and I want to be part of that,”
Some might say that signing a one-year deal signals you’re just “testing the waters” in Detroit. is that a fair assessment? What are your long-term goals with the Tigers?
GT: For me, it’s about focusing on the present, on giving 100% every day and contributing to this team’s success. I believe in building strong relationships, proving myself on the field, and letting everything else fall into place.
