Eredivisie Schedule Unveiled: Key Matchups adn Derby Dates
Football fans can mark their calendars as the Dutch Eredivisie has released its schedule for rounds 22 through 32, revealing exciting matchups and highly anticipated derby clashes.
The KNVB announced the schedule on Monday, confirming that league leaders PSV will host second-placed Ajax on March 30th in a crucial encounter. Later in the season, PSV will face a tough challenge against Feyenoord in De Kuip on May 11th.
This announcement follows the earlier release of rounds 18 to 21, which included the highly anticipated “Klassieker” between Ajax and Feyenoord at the Johan Cruijff Arena on february 2nd. The Eredivisie resumes after the winter break with Fortuna Sittard taking on Go Ahead Eagles on January 10th.
Derby enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to, with several local rivalries scheduled throughout the season. FC Groningen will face off against SC Heerenveen on January 25th, while Feyenoord and Sparta will clash on February 8th. Heracles Almelo and FC Twente will battle it out on March 30th, followed by PEC Zwolle versus Go Ahead Eagles on May 11th. The final day of the season, May 18th, will see NAC Breda take on Willem II in a thrilling derby showdown.
Adding to the excitement, the final two rounds of the Eredivisie will be played simultaneously. Round 33 kicks off at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14th, while the season culminates with round 34 on Sunday, May 18th at 2:30 PM.
