In a remarkable display of skill and determination,three young judokas from La loupe have secured their spots at the regional championship in early 2025. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the La Loupe judo jujitsu club,which boasts 93 licensees,as these athletes are the frist from the club to reach such a prestigious level in recent years.A Day of Triumph and Heartbreak
On December 7, four juniors from La Loupe competed in the qualifying judo competitions held in Orléans. The event was crucial for these 12-13-year-olds, aiming to secure a place in the regional championship scheduled for January 26, 2025, in tours.
Girls Shine on the Mat
Among the girls, Xifel Kouassi emerged as a standout performer. After winning four consecutive fights, she clinched a second-place finish in the final, earning her qualification for the regionals. Tiana Altan also demonstrated exceptional prowess, securing a second-place finish after three victories, despite a setback in the final. her hard work paid off, as she too qualified for the regional championship.
Boys Face Mixed Outcomes
The afternoon session brought mixed emotions for the boys.Gwendal Javoy faced disappointment, unable to advance from his group and miss the chance to qualify. Though, Nathan Patte showcased his talent with four swift victories, only to fall in the final against last year’s regional champion. Despite this, his second-place finish ensured his qualification for the regionals.

These three athletes from La Loupe are now poised to compete at the highest national level, representing the best of French judo. Their success is a testament to their dedication and the guidance of their coach, David Quatreboeufs, and the support of the club’s leadership, including Nicolas Javoy.
