The Chilean judo scene witnessed an notable display of talent at the final federated event of 2024, held in Concepción on December 15th. This prestigious competition brought together the nation’s top-ranked judokas, with the Fujiyama Judo Club proudly fielding a strong team of 18 athletes.
To qualify for this elite event, each Fujiyama competitor had to secure a place within the top 10 nationally, a testament to their dedication adn skill. the club’s roster boasted a diverse range of talent, including: bastian Robledo, Oak Tiare, Karol Arcos, Justin Ledezma, Bastian Zepeda, Red Jasmine, Enrique Zepeda, Angel Robles, Deyvi Valenzuela, Isabella Alfaro, Isidora Alfaro, Lya Rodriguez, Maily Aguilera, Gustavo Zepeda, Lucas Fuentes, Vicente Navarrete, Constance Olivares, and Constanza vega.
The Fujiyama Judo Club athletes delivered exceptional performances, securing numerous podium finishes and showcasing their prowess on the national stage.
Standout Achievements:
National Champion: Justin Ledezma Bugueño dominated the under 18 category, claiming the national title in the 90 kg weight class.
Silver Medalists: Gustavo Zepeda García secured a silver medal in the absolute category, weighing in at 100 kg. Justin Ledezma and Karol Arcos also earned silver medals in the under 21 age group.
Bronze Medalists: Tiare Oak Neira, Enrique Zepeda Labarca, and Lucas Fuentes Lamb each fought valiantly to claim bronze medals.
Team Triumph: The children’s team,comprised of Maily Aguilera,Vicente Navarrete,Lucas Fuentes,Bastian Robledo,Tiare Robledo,Isabella alfaro,and Constance Olivares,secured a commendable third-place finish.
