FC Twente’s pursuit of former AZ Alkmaar winger Jesper Karlsson has proven unsuccessful.
As the winter transfer window approaches, the Enschede-based club is actively seeking reinforcements for their attacking flanks.Karlsson, who made a meaningful impact during his time at AZ from 2020 to 2023, was considered a promising target.However, according to Transferwatch, a source known for its reliable transfer news, the 26-year-old Swede politely declined Twente’s advances.It appears Karlsson is not keen on returning to the Dutch Eredivisie. Having transferred from AZ to Bologna for a substantial fee of over €11 million in the summer of 2023, Karlsson seems committed to his Italian adventure.
Karlsson’s move to Bologna hasn’t unfolded as smoothly as anticipated. In seven Serie A appearances this season, he has yet to secure a prominent role, accumulating only around 300 minutes of playing time.
