The session culminated in an hour of spirited gameplay, demonstrating the joy and camaraderie that baseball fosters.
Mark Unbehend, coach and department head, expressed his delight at witnessing the children’s rapid progress and genuine enjoyment.”It was amazing to see how quickly thay picked up the rules and how much fun they had playing,” he remarked.
The Devils’ commitment to inclusivity is evident in their approach to these trial trainings. Existing members of the Devils’ children’s team were also present, providing a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers and facilitating immediate integration into the team dynamic. This approach allows new players to experience the true spirit of teamwork and build lasting friendships.
Two more trial training sessions are scheduled for January 19th and March 8th, 2025. These sessions are designed to provide a thorough introduction to baseball, allowing interested youth to explore their potential and discover the thrill of this beloved sport.
