The Compagnia Arcieri Borgo al Cornio di Prato recently hosted the highly anticipated 18-metre indoor archery competition in Pescia. This event, open to all archery divisions – compound, barebow, and Olympic – drew a remarkable 153 archers from 24 different clubs, making it a true showcase of regional talent.
the competition, which served as a qualifier for upcoming Regional and Italian Fitarco championships, unfolded over four intense rounds, two on Saturday afternoon and two on Sunday, January 22nd.
Among the standout performers were the Bellaria di Pontedera women, who dominated the junior women’s team Olympic bow category. The trio of Giada Taviani, Martina Genovesi, and Angelica Cionini secured a decisive victory, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and skill.
Michela Bianco, representing the senior women’s Olympic bow division, also claimed a first-place finish, highlighting the depth of talent within the female archers.
The Cascinesi Olympic bow students further added to the impressive results, with Giuseppe Canciello, Paolo Taccila, and Giovanni Graziani securing a well-deserved first place in their category.
