2024 Farewell Party and 4th Farewell Party | Sendai University Judo Club Blog

The⁤ Power of a Simple Greeting

December is a whirlwind,⁣ even for someone like me, a Judo club coach. it’s a ⁤time of reflection and planning for the‍ year ahead.

Recently, ⁢I’ve been thinking about the ⁤importance of simple interactions, like a‍ friendly greeting. It’s something⁤ I emphasize with my students, and something I’ve come to⁢ appreciate ‌even more in my own ⁤life.

As the⁤ days fly by,⁤ I ‌find myself prioritizing tasks and focusing on what ‌truly matters. one thing that ‌brings me joy is my daily walks.

It’s a great way to combat⁣ the stress of daily life, especially⁤ as I navigate the ‌changes that come‍ with menopause. The⁢ cold weather ‍can ⁣be a ⁢challenge, but⁤ the⁣ experience is incredibly rewarding.

What ⁤surprises me most is the number of people who⁣ greet me during⁢ my walks. ‍Men and women of all⁤ ages, from elementary school children to seniors, offer a smile and a⁤ hello. It’s heartwarming to ‍see such kindness and⁢ openness.

Perhaps it’s⁤ because I don’t project an intimidating image, ⁢but I’m often met with friendly exchanges. Children, especially, seem agreeable ‍approaching me with a cheerful “Hello!” It’s a ‌reminder that even in today’s world, simple acts of connection can ⁣still thrive.

These interactions have made me realize the ⁤power of a ‍simple greeting. It’s a way‌ to build bridges, foster a sense of community, and⁤ brighten ‌someone’s ⁤day.

Just as I encourage my students to start ⁣each day with a positive greeting, I believe ⁣it’s a valuable practice for everyone. ‌ A⁣ friendly “hello” can set the tone for a more pleasant and connected experience, both for ourselves and those around us.## The‌ Power ‍of a Simple Greeting: Fostering Connection and Gratitude

The ‍impact of ⁢a simple greeting should ‍never be ⁤underestimated. As an educator, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound ⁢effect⁢ a warm “good morning” or a⁣ sincere “thank you” ‍can have on students. it’s amazing how such⁤ small gestures can brighten someone’s day and ⁤create ⁢a positive atmosphere.

Recently, I’ve been especially struck‌ by the power of greetings⁤ in our judo club. Students have begun greeting me with enthusiasm from the moment they arrive, and it’s ‍truly heartwarming. This shift in attitude reflects ‍a deeper‍ sense of connection and respect within our community.

Even ‌during⁤ our recent farewell ceremony, the importance of greetings was evident. Fourth-year students, some of whom had ⁣been away from the dojo for a‌ while, returned with genuine ‌warmth‍ and gratitude. ⁤One student,Mr. S-guchi, surprised⁣ me‍ with a cheerful “Hello, teacher!”‍ that brought a smile to my face.

Another student, ⁢Mr. Njima, who‍ secured a‌ coveted⁤ position at ⁤Sumitomo ‍Mitsui, expressed his gratitude for my ⁢guidance. His success is a testament to his hard work‌ and dedication, but it’s also a reminder⁤ of the importance⁢ of mentorship ⁢and support.

Mr. Njima’s story highlights the ripple effect⁤ of positive interactions. He is not only a talented judoka but also a role model for his peers, demonstrating the ⁣qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect.

As we move forward, I’m committed to fostering an surroundings⁣ where greetings are not just formalities but genuine expressions of appreciation ‌and⁢ connection. After all, a simple “hello” can go a long way in building strong relationships and creating a positive and⁤ supportive community.

the closing ceremony for ⁣2024, held on December 21st at the sendai⁢ University Cafeteria, was a testament to the power of these connections. The ⁣event, which included ‌a⁤ farewell ceremony followed by four individual‌ farewells, was a‍ stunning festivity of our shared journey.

Later, the focus shifted to a meeting with Mr.Rikiya Tsuyasuda, a⁣ notable figure in the ⁤Sendai Judo community. The encounter marked a significant moment, highlighting the importance⁣ of ⁣mentorship and community involvement in the⁣ lives of young athletes.
