Ladislav Krejčí is most likely to leave Sparta this summer, and the Spanish media are once again speculating about Girona’s interest. This time she also brought specific numbers, the Catalan team is offering ten million euros for the captain from Leta.
The Czech representative has a contract in the capital only until June 2025, and the reigning champion is not completely satisfied with ten million euros, he would like to increase the amount and collect another three to four million more.
Girona is certain to take part in next year’s Champions League, and according to the newspaper Relevo, negotiations are still ongoing, which should most likely result in an agreement. At the same time, Krejčí could jump directly into the starting line-up, as stopper Eric García will leave the cabin after this season, other central defenders in the current squad are the aging Daley Blind (34), Juanpe (33) and David López (34).
The 25-year-old Krejčí started playing football in Brno and has been defending the colors of Sparta since July 2019. He has scored 44 goals for the club so far and is aiming to defend the championship title with them this year. Lisbon’s Sporting and Betis are also interested in him, the footballer himself stirred up speculation at the beginning of March. “I am not opposed to leaving. I have already fulfilled the dream and promise I made to the club, I have a clear conscience,” he said at the time.
Girona will play in the Champions League next season, and more investment in the staff can be expected than there was before this season. So far, the record signing is the striker Artem Dovbyk, the Ukrainian team Dnipro-1 received less than eight million euros for him last year.
