The Tour of Italy celebrates its 107th anniversary this year. From May 4 to 26, the 22 teams invited by the Giro attempt to thwart the transalpine roads to reach the finish in Rome.
On their way, the runners will find two times but above all a very uneven course which will become more complicated throughout the three weeks before the justice of the peace during the double ascent of Monte Grappa (18.1 km at 8.1%) on the 20th step.
Among the big favorites to succeed Primoz Roglic, crowned in 2023 but absent this year to focus on his preparation for the Tour de France, his compatriot Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) looks like a scarecrow. Visma-Lease a Bike is without Jonas Vingegaard and Wout Van Aert, both of whom were severely affected at the start of the season.
Stage 12 (May 16): Martinsicuo – Fano (193 km), hilly. Fictitious departure: 12:25 p.m. / Estimated arrival: 4:59 p.m. To follow live on Eurosport 1.
