56 young judokas showed their martial arts in Meilen. The hosts were delighted with six gold medals.

Recently the Ju-Jitsu and Judo Club Meilen held its annual Gold Coast tournament. 56 children and young people from seven clubs took part. The JJC Meilen, JJJC Glarus, JJC Hombrechtikon, JC Kaltbrunn, JSC Dietikon and the JJJC Rapperswil as well as Tsukuri Männedorf were there.
After warming up together, the fights began. On the mat, Werni Schuler from JC Wetzikon was in charge as referee. There were many intense fights and quite a few had to be decided in the golden score (extra time).

The coaches of the various clubs tried to get the best out of their protégés and some of them grew beyond themselves. The audience loudly cheered on the fighters, which created a great atmosphere in the JJC Meilen dojo.
Lots of smiling faces
It was also a successful day for the Meiler judokas on the medal side, with six gold, six silver and fifteen bronze medals won. For the Meiler coach Daniel Häring, the most important thing was that there were no injuries and a lot of smiling faces. The board and trainers congratulate all participants.
