Packers Receive Three Compensatory Picks for 2024 NFL Draft

GREEN BAY – The Packers received three compensatory picks for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, extra fifth-, sixth- and seventh-round selections.

The Packers’ extra selections were due to net losses in free agency from the previous year, and Green Bay has now received 52 compensatory draft picks since their institution in 1994, third most in the league behind only Baltimore (56) and Dallas (54).

Green Bay now has 11 picks heading into the draft at the end of next month, beginning with the No. 25 overall selection in the first round.

The compensatory selections are No. 168 overall (fifth round), No. 219 (sixth) and No. 255 (seventh).

The Packers will now pick twice in four different rounds of the draft — the second, third, sixth and seventh. The extra second- and third-round picks came from the trades with the N.Y. Jets for Aaron Rodgers and the Buffalo Bills for Rasul Douglas, respectively.

The Packers will have one pick in the first, fourth and fifth rounds. Their original fifth-rounder went to Buffalo in the Douglas trade.

The league announced a total of 34 compensatory picks Friday. Thirty-two are awarded based on a team’s net losses in free agency. The other two are special compensatory selections related to the minority head coach/primary executive amendment to the 2020 collective bargaining agreement.
