Knicks, Josh Hart speaks: Any team would struggle without four starters

A series of injuries forced the New York Knicks to go through a month of just 4 wins in 12 games, which partly undermined their excellent start to the regular season.

After the stop at Madison Square Garden against the Golden State Warriors, Josh Hart (14 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists in 47 minutes) commented on the team’s difficult period.

“I don’t know what you expect or what you think. We’re really playing the best we can with the bodies we have.

We are trying our hardest. It’s not like we sit there crying about injuries and just sit back. No, we’re working. We are working hard. I didn’t see anyone talking about the way we were playing before this losing streak,” Hart continues. “Nine wins in a row, ten in a row, fifteen out of sixteen. Any team would struggle without four starters (Anunoby, Randle, Robinson and even replacement Hartenstein) and six rotation guys…Whether it’s Boston with the best record, or Detroit or Washington who have the worst. Without so many players at the same time, you will struggle…This is the reality. We hope to get some back in the next couple of weeks. We are working. We are doing our best…”.
