The Detroit Tigers will continue to trust strategist AJ Hinch and this Monday they renewed the strategist, although the terms of the new contract were not yet revealed to the press.
The team’s president of operations, Scott Harris, told Jason Beck of MLB.com that they had reached an agreement with the veteran strategist. “We’re going to work together for a long time,” Harris said.
Harris added that Hinch’s new deal was completed shortly after the 2023 season ended, another year for the Tigers without making the postseason.

“I love working here. I love who I work for…I think we can win here,” Hinch said, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.
Hinch has a record of 221-265 in three seasons with Detroit and this year they finished second in their division, after achieving 78 victories, which was an improvement of 12 wins compared to those obtained in the 2022 campaign.
The Tigers are in the middle of a restructuring, especially after the retirement of Miguel Cabrera, who left the activity in 2023 and set a precedent in the history of this franchise, with which they reached a World Series, but could not win it.
