PHILADELPHIA – University of Pennsylvania football freshman Malachi Hosley was named Penn Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
The running back was excellent in the Quakers’ 42-39 overtime victory over Georgetown last weekend, totaling 101 all-purpose yards with two rushing touchdowns, including the game winner.
He carried the ball six times for 48 yards with a pair of scores, while catching five passes for 53 yards and was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for his performance.
Hosley has three total touchdowns in three games this season with 119 receiving yards on nine receptions.
Penn returns to its Ivy schedule on Saturday at Columbia, kicking off at 1:30 p.m.
