Harry Kane: Looking Ahead to the Second Half of His Career

HE still has a lot to do!

Harry Kane (30) apparently only sees himself at the halfway point of his career. During his international trip, the England captain surprised with a stark statement about his future plans.

Kane: “The perception in sport or football is that you turn 30 and people think it’s the end. But the way I see it is that I’m almost in the second half of my career. I’ve had nine or ten years at the highest level – and I’m hoping for another eight or nine years at the highest level.”

All Bayern fans will be VERY happy to hear that! Even better: According to his own statement, Kane’s best years could lie ahead of the goalscorer. There are a few very prominent examples that give the Bundesliga’s new superstar encouragement: “There is definitely still room for improvement. If you look at a lot of the top players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Zlatan Ibrahimovic – they almost got better after they turned 30.”

Kane celebrated his 30th birthday at the end of July and moved to Munich two weeks later for over 100 million euros. In ten competitive appearances so far, he has a total of nine goals and five assists for the German record champions. Kane is happy with his start at Bayern: “I’m really proud. I could have scored a few more goals, I had a few chances. But if you had told me beforehand that I would have so many goals, assists and wins at this point, I would have accepted it.”

One thing stands out IMMEDIATELY. This is how Nagelsmann’s first DFB training session went

Kane’s contract in Munich runs until the end of June 2027 – by then the England striker would be 33 years old. The ideas he has now expressed for the future give hope for many more Kane years and goals. And also title? In his career so far, Kane has come away completely empty-handed with Tottenham. With Bayern he now wants to become a trophy hamster.
