He robs a bar in Pompeii, the owner and customers attack him with their fists: the criminal escapes

A robbery in a bar in Pompeii ended badly for the criminal who was put to flight by the owner of the business and some customers who punched him. The criminal had entered a bookshop armed with a pistol and with his face partially hidden by a hat and a handkerchief. After taking a woman hostage and at gunpoint, he made her kneel, placing one leg on her head, waiting to receive the day’s takings from the cashier. But before recovering the money, he was confronted by a customer who, with the help of other customers (some even hit him with a plastic chair), managed to disarm him and drive him away.

The images captured by the video surveillance system went viral on social media. The carabinieri of the Pompeii station (Naples) and of the mobile radio section of the Torre Annunziata company are now investigating the case, having found and seized a gun, found to contain blanks, which in all likelihood the criminal would have used on the occasion.

The incident apparently occurred on September 21st, around 7pm, in a business in Via Nolana in Pompeii (although the investigators still maintain a certain confidentiality on this aspect, pending further investigations).
