The badminton players of FIT Almere have prepared for the new season in the Premier League in recent months. The Almeers play at the highest level in the Netherlands and start with two away games.
On Saturday, September 16, Drop Shot BC will be the opponents and DKC will follow a week later. The first home match is scheduled for Sunday, October 1, in the Raggers sports hall in Parkwijk (Bongerdstraat).
The team has remained virtually unchanged. Only Timo Stoffelen left for BC Amersfoort. This year the coaching is again in the hands of Dave Khodabux.
The Premier League consists of eight teams and they all play an away and a home match. The number 1 qualifies directly for the final, the numbers 2 and 3 play two play-off matches. The winner of this also qualifies for the final where they will compete for the national title.
The objective of FIT Almere is to at least qualify for the play-offs. The Almeers won the national title in the 2020/2021 season.
