Breyvic Valera debuts in LMBP

Breyvic Valera was finally able to make his debut with Samanes de Aragua in the Major League of Professional Baseball (LMBP). This after a fractured right wrist during a live bullpen one day before the start of the season, sidelined him from seeing action with the Aragüeño team of the Creole summer ball.

Born in Montalbán on January 8, 1992, he lined up as second baseman and eighth bat in Samanes’ 10-9 defeat against Delfines de La Guaira at the start of the fourth week of the regular season at the José Pérez Colmenares in the city of Maracay.

There, the Carabobeño infielder failed in his first three turns, but in the seventh inning he made the adjustment and hit a double to right field, to start his team’s shootout in that inning against the shipments of the right-hander Jesús Zambrano. Later, he would be towed with a home run by Pabel Manzanero; who is also his teammate at Bravos de Margarita, and would conclude the day 5-1 with a stomp and a punch.

Now, it should be noted that Breyvic Valera arrives at the LMBP with a very good poster, because during his career in Venezuelan winter ball, he has proven to be one of the most complete hitters and with the greatest ability to hit the ball. Proof of this is his MVP in the 2016-17 season and his .300 point average in nine contests in the LVBP with the Braves, where he also has a .790 OPS.

Likewise, Valera; The 31-year-old has experience of four seasons in the Major Leagues with the uniforms of the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, the latter with whom he saw action in 44 games in 2019. and 2021.
