Countdown to the great definition of the Argentine Basketball League. In the last hours, the Department of Competitions made official the dates of the National Final, which will define the promotion of the National Basketball League. There, Ameghino awaits a rival after sweeping the series against GEPU 3-0. The other member will come out of the fifth game of the Semifinals between Racing de Chivilcoy and Zárate Basket, for the Southern Conference. The series is 2-2 and will be defined this Thursday 05/25 in Chivilcoy.
If Racing wins and becomes champion of the Southern Conference, it will have a home-field advantage in the potential definition, for having finished in first place in its conference, since Ameghino finished second in the North. If, on the contrary, the victory is for Zárate Basket, the home team will go to Ameghino de Villa María. Both teams finished second, but Ameghino has the better winning record.
The first game of the National Final will be on 05/29, the second is scheduled for 05/31. Then, there will be two days off and a move included, for the third and fourth games. The third will be on 06/03 and the fourth will be played on 06/05. If necessary, the fifth and decisive meeting will be on Thursday 06/08, the date scheduled for the end of the competition.
