Seventy judokas, including several from Haute-Marne, took part from Monday April 24 to Wednesday April 26 in an interdepartmental advanced training course at the Ufolep center in Giffaumont, organized by the Haute-Marne judo committee.
Were concerned the categories benjamins, minimal and cadets. About fifty judokas from the department were present, from the clubs of JC Marnaval/Saint-Dizier, SLO Bettancourt, Chaumont, Chanoy/Rolampont, Chalindrey and Fayl/Billot. Aubois also participated in the course and, on Tuesday, a good twenty judokas from Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) were added.
“Seek precision, quality”
On Monday and Tuesday, the young people were able to benefit from the valuable advice of Eiji Kikuchi, Japanese judo expert in France and former coach of the Belgian national team. “He had already come ten years ago. He specializes in standing work and mowing techniques. A mando, that is to say a time of exchanges, took place on Monday evening and the young people asked him a lot of questions”, confided Francis Clerget, in charge of the course. A rally also led by Mohamed Ouali, Benjamin Gaillard, Damien Petitjean and Sofia Ouali. “It’s an internship with technical upgrading with deepening. It’s about making young people aware of the fundamentals and looking for precision and quality,” said Francis Clerget. It was the last course of the season, “also allowing to prepare for the new one”.
For some of the youngests and cadets, it was also a good preparation before the Grand Est youngest championship which will take place on May 20 in Pont-à-Mousson (Meurthe-et-Moselle), and for the France 2e cadet division in Clermont-Ferrand. An evening session, Monday April 24, was open to club teachers and black belts, but only about fifteen judokas participated, including the president of the departmental committee, Thierry Masson.
The trainees took the opportunity to also test the acrobranch activity.
