[스포츠서울 | 김경무전문기자] The MG Saemaul Geumgo men’s badminton team advanced to the finals (6 rounds tournament) by finishing second in the group.
On the 2nd, the 2023 Passion Korea Badminton League Men’s Group A qualifying round continued at the Pocheon General Gymnasium in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. MG Saemaul Geumgo, directed by Kim Sung-soo, defeated Dangjin City Hall 3-0 with a match score of 3-0 thanks to the performances of Lee Sang-joon, Park Moon-seon, Seo Jae-woo, and Noh Jin-seong-Jin Seong-ik.
With this, MG Saemaul Geumgo finished second in Group A with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss. Dangjin City Hall took 3rd place with 3 wins and 2 losses. The 1st to 3rd places in each group advance to the semi-final tournament starting on the 2nd of next month at the Namyangju Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do.
MG Saemaul Geumgo gained momentum on this day, with Lee Sang-jun and Park Moon-seon catching Dangjin City Hall veteran duo Kim Ki-jeong and Kim Hwi-tae 2-0 (15-10, 15-9) in the first doubles match. In the singles, Seo Jae-woo took the victory by beating Lee Dong-geun 2-0 (16-15, 15-13).
