What to do in case of poisoning?
Poisons are substances that can harm the body. Poisons can be swallowed, inhaled, absorbed, or injected. Accidental poisonings or intoxications frequently involve children or the elderly.
Poisoning can be fatal. First aid can help minimize the harm done to the person intoxicated.
If you find your child with an open or empty container of an inedible item, they may have been poisoned. Stay calm and act quickly.
First, move the item away from the child. If the child still has some of the product in their mouth, have them spit it out or remove it with their fingers. Keep this material with anything else that may help determine what the child has swallowed.
Do not do to vomit to the child, as this may cause further harm.
If the child is unconscious, not breathing, convulsing, or shaking, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
