MADRID, 19 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Romanian Istvan Kovacs will be in charge of refereeing this Tuesday the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Liverpool and Real Madrid at Anfield (9:00 p.m.), UEFA confirmed this Sunday.
Kovacs, 38 years old and international since 2010, will direct a match for the white team for the second time; he already delivered justice in the duel between the madridistas and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of last season’s semifinals (4-3).
For his part, the Portuguese Artur Dias will referee the other ‘Champions’ game on Tuesday, the one between Eintracht Frankfurt and Napoli at Deutsche Bank Park (9:00 p.m.).
