No retirement yet for Andy Reid

Even after winning a second Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, head coach Andy Reid doesn’t seem ready to retire just yet.

The man with the mustache as famous as him has nothing more to prove, he who is second in NFL history with 22 playoff wins – in addition to four Super Bowl appearances – but the football love is still there.

“I think I’m going to stay here,” he said after his team’s decisive victory, in an interview with the NFL Network. At his side, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was obviously very happy with this statement.

At 64 years and 330 days, Reid became the fourth oldest coach to lift the Vince-Lombardi Trophy. Bruce Arians (68 years and 127 days) holds the record, having won Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to the NFL Network, Reid would be under contract with the Chiefs until the end of the 2025 season. He would be one of the only coaches who commands a salary of at least $10 million.
