On Sunday January 29, the D1 interclubs were played in Montélimar and the Annonean club Plumes d’Ardèche proved to be successful.
Against the Valence team, the Annoneans won the match 7-1. Bastien Blanc, Yaël Biskong, Emma Favre and Audrey Finet win in singles. Emma Favre and Christine Vesin, in doubles, bring back an additional point then Thibault Laquet and Bastien Blanc win, and finally, Audrey Finet accompanied by Thibault Laquet in mixed brings another victory. Only downside, on the last mixed, defeat of Christine Vesin and Yaël Biskong.
The meeting against the club of Saint-Marcel-lès-Valence was much more tense and held the suspense until the last final point.
Audrey Finet and Thibault Laquet win mixed 1, Christine Vesin and Yaël Biskong lose. On the singles, Audrey Finet wins, Bastien Blanc loses and Emma Favre wins as well as Yaël Biskong.
But the double man ends with a defeat for Thibault Laquet and Bastien Blanc. The victory of this meeting was therefore played on the double lady against a pair of Iséroises much better ranked on paper. Emma Favre and Christine Vesin lose their first set 18-21 but recover and manage to win the last two sets 21-15, 21-18.
Thanks to this beautiful day, the Annoneans finish at the top of the general classification. But nothing is done yet: the sequel will take place on February 26.
In the meantime, the Plumes d’Ardèche Nord club will prepare for the organization of its leisure tournament which will take place on February 11 at the Lombardière gymnasium during the day: registration is open to all players, whether licensed or not. Matches will be played mixed.
