Who is Fabio De Luigi?
Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna on 11 October 1967. Comedian, impersonator, dubber and television presenter. He was also a former Italian baseball player. After graduating from art school, he served in the Air Force and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, graduating in painting. In 1990 he took part in the “La Zanzara D’oro” competition, placing himself in fourth place. For many years he was an integral part of Gialappa’s Band in programs such as Mai dire, Mai dire Big Brother 2, animating everything together with Cortellesi and the Wizard Foster.
Its multiple characters are: Olmo the saccharine singer, Medioman and the engineer Cane. After years of comedy programs in 2005 he is the protagonist first with Michelle Hunziker and then with Elisabetta Canalis of Love Bugs. He boasts multiple cinematic participations such as in 2006 together with Claudio Bisio in Christmas in New York, to then move on to Christmas on a cruise, Christmas in Rio where once again he stars in tandem with Hunziker. Pupi Avati does it from his team in Friends of the Margherita bar. From September to December 2017 he was a regular guest on Che fuori che tempo broadcast on Rai.
Private life
Very discreet person, attentive to personal and family privacy. He is romantically linked to former model Jelena Ilic with whom he has two children: Dino born in 2007, and Lola born in 2011.
Career
As a young man we find him a militant in baseball in the A1 series. From the team of his native country he then joined Rimini Baseball in 1994 as a left fielder. His sporting career boasts 87 appearances in the top flight, and 93 considering the championship playoffs. He was on television on Rai 1 host of the Apocalypse Show program by Gianfranco Funari together with Esther Ortega. He conducted Le Iene on Italia 1 with Ilary Blasi until February 2009. One of his first appearances as an actor in the cinema dates back to 2004 in Every time you leave. Alongside Lettizzetto as a partner, in 2013 we find him in the film Aspiring Widower where he tries to get rid of his wife.
The multiple collaborations are also with Elio Germano for the film Questioni di Karma, and with Marco Limberti already known in 2005 for Love Bugs. In 2021 we find him engaged as director on his second film entitled Tre di Troppo which will be released on January 1, 2023. As a dubber he gave the voice to the character of Melman in Madagascar, Ken in Toy Story 3 , and in the cartoon Rio and Rio 2 at Blu character. He also dabbles in the field of advertising products such as Dash and Pavesini face from 2018 to today.
Awards include a Golden Graals nomination in 2007: Best Comedy Actor in Christmas in New York. And in 2018 the Golden Archangel.
