The Betclic Elite All-Star Game took place this Thursday evening, and we can say that there was a show. Victor Wembanyama made the show by going for a deserved MVP title, while Yves Pons was responsible for making the show with his dunks. Even the NBA was obviously struggling to recover…
There was entertainment on the French courts this Thursday evening, thanks to the All-Star Game, the last for Victor Wembanyama before crossing the Atlantic. Unsurprisingly, the Mets player wanted to mark the occasion with an MVP title: it’s a successful mission. Thanks to a new offensive show, Wemby leaves with an extra trophy at home (review here).
The ASG in France is making the buzz!
On the other side, Yves Pons took care of the rest with sensational dunks. He even allowed himself to climb Wembanyama mountain, to the point of making noise on the side of the NBA. Indeed, Pons tried to innovate with a dunk… without shoes. On its twitter account, the league was quick to share its happiness to attend this show.
Barefoot.
Double clutch.
Reverse.
With the « Air Pons » decal…Yeah, the LNB Dunk Contest is different ????

We remind you that thanks to Wembanyama, the NBA can broadcast all the events in France with its partnership alongside the LNB. The All-Star Game is one of them. Pons therefore caused a sensation, even if the reactions were mixed in the comments.

Hasn’t been a ‘different’ dunk contest since LaVine/Gordon.

nothing different since the contest between LaVine and Gordon.
Yves Pons tried to set the fire, and we can say that he succeeded this Thursday evening. Just like Victor Wembanyama. A nice show offered by the LNB, which hopes to experience the same enthusiasm for 2024. But it will normally be without Wemby…
